Just Announced on Hawaii News Now “Sunrise”; Billy V begins his Syndicated Radio Show tonight on the Island of Oʻahu. He will debut his show called the “Billy V Radio Show” starting at 6:00pm HST on 107.9 Hawaiiʻs Kool Gold.
Billy V sat on the couch with his co-workers Steve Uyehara and Grace Lee and they asked him about the show and what it will mean for his already busy schedule. Itʻs set for an 11-show-run that will take him from tonight thru till the start of University of Hawaii Rainbow Wahine Volleyball.
The show will run every OTHER Friday night from 6:00pm-10:00pm and feature the music that Billy V grew up with and knows so well; national hits from the mid 1970ʻs thru the early 1990ʻs with a majority of that being the genre of “80ʻs Music”! PLUS the songs that Billy V grew up with here in the island including Cecilio & Kapono, Kalapana, Brother Noland, Peter Moon Band and much more.
“Team Billy V” has been working hard; itʻs a business partnership with BVO Enterprises LLC and Poi Planet. Itʻs been a dream of Billy Vsʻ since exiting from Hawaiian 105 KINE and being out of radio for the first time in 33 years. Some say itʻs a unique time for him to play whatever he wants; but Billy V says he always has the voices of his program directors in his head when working on the shows. Itʻs all about, “bringing back the fun times of the 80ʻs on Friday nights, just when everyone is getting off from work and headed out to the weekend!”
Billy V continues to be on Hawaii News Now “Sunrise”, University of Hawaii Athletics, Broadcast Anchor for the Merrie Monarch Festival, Queen Liliʻuokalani Keiki Hula Competition and Broadcast host for Miss Hawaii Scholarship Pagaent and the Host/Producer of the 2017 Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards.
